Weeks of Abbey beer from St Bernard's in Lambic!
Once again, according to tradition, we are launching a promotion with an additional 10% cashback on selected Beers from our Atlas. The next weeks, from August 21 to September 3, will be held in Lambic under the sign of the classic Abbey beer from The St. Bernardus brewery, which once brewed beer for the monks of Westvleteren, and then created its own brand. St. Bernardus brewery, located in Vatau, 12 kilometers from Westvleteren, in 1946-1992 brewed Trappist Westvleteren under the license of the monks of the Abbey of St. Sixtus. The St. Bernardus tasting room has since preserved a poster with the inscription: «Brouwerij Sint Bernardus: alleenvervaardiger van de bieren van de abdij van Westvleteren» («Sint Bernardus Brewery: the only beer producer of the Abbey of Saint Sixtus in Westvleteren»). The agreement came to an end with the end of the license term in 1992. A new brewery was built in Westvleteren, but St. Bernardus was able to preserve all the recipes that were used to brew beer throughout these forty-six years.
St. Bernardus Pater 6 (ABV 6,7 %)) — dubbel, which can be called a «classic in a bottle». Its aroma contains notes of raisins and figs, and the taste is creamy soft bitterness.
St. Bernardus Prior 8 (ABV 8 %)) — ruby-colored dubbel with a rich cream texture. In taste and aroma-a powerful malt base, which turns into a bittersweet aftertaste.
St. Bernardus Abt 12 (ABV 10 %)) — this classic monastery ale almost repeats the recipe of the rare Westvleteren 12. Perfectly balanced velvety quadrupel with a complex fruit flavor composition, which is included in the Top 50 best in its style.
Try new varieties and discover new tastes in Lambic! The offer is valid in all Lambic restaurants until September 3, upon presentation of the Lambic Club e-card.
